BORN TO WAR by Genevieve Published on 11/05/2007


Man is born to violence and war.
Dwells in a world, where peace seems far.
His desire to live in freedom
more often ends in his own martyrdom.

History has, throughout its pages
watched him live and die, through the ages.
His world is trampled upon, crushed and ravaged
by wars caused by poverty, oppression and injustice.

The phantom of death walks on this earth
to cleanse all hearts, evil from birth.
Man?s foolish deeds outweigh righteousness.
For still in his heart, war can not depart.

The war for human annihilation has taken toll
for man to cause many heads to roll.
War has reduced man to savagery
that has been implanted deep in our memory.

War for supremacy. Man wants to become taller than anybody on the globe. The authority gives a sadist satisfaction.

the harsh reality of man's injustice to battle in wars that are unnecessary and yet the trampled bodies of consequence never seem to make people come to realization that war is a pointless mass-destruction that slaughters many innocent beings. powerful poem, sad and frustrating. tgc xxx

The image of watching 'someone live and die through the ages' has a cinematic quality, like a moving picture you can see over and over. And image that stays forever.

Avarice is the root cause of all misery and the key to the Pandora's box which has been laying wide open since eons.It is like human race is destined to die and fade in its own hands.It is a kind of social service,that you have written on this issue!
